CRANES’ BY FREDERIK V. FOR ANNA ROSA

>

Friday, May 15, 2020

For this project the photographer Frederik Vercruysse got the liberty to shoot the jewelry of Anna Rosa the way he perceives them.
He got inspired by her collection and the graphical lines in her designs which to him made a strong reference to cranes.
Frederik shot the jewelry during the quarantine in his own home.
He mixed the images of jewelry with images of cranes and made collages combining both.
This results in the beautiful new imagery you see here below.

Construction cranes decorate the horizon.
'You can see them from far away.
Construction cranes appeal to the imagination of children.
They often light up in the dark.
Construction cranes invite you to climb up (how beautiful the view must be above),
These structures have cheerful colors,
They can move mountains
and move gracefully.
They make us feel small …

I've always had a fascination with construction cranes.
The comparison with necklaces and jewelry suddenly occurred to me.
When I saw Anna Rosa her designs and heard that she was an architect with the same fascination for construction cranes, this series came about by itself.'
