A half open lot on the edge of one of Belgium's biggest forests. Between high native trees garden designer Jan Minne planted shrubs and lower trees, mixing them with ferns, grasses and heath, in an acid soil. Though fully hardy, this garden reveals unexpected exotic touches in every corner, with a subtle use of colour. For Jan, it's his parallel world, a planet away from Brussels, at only thirty minutes drive from the city. Frederik Vercruysse pulled on his boots and captured nature's beauty.
