With spring comes the start of wedding season for the Moroccan community in Belgium. Families are getting ready for a two-day long celebration. On the first day both bride and groom have a little get-together, a sort of pre-party with close friends and family. This day is also known as the traditional henna day for the bride. The day after is when they really get the party started. The bride gets glammed up for her wedding party with the help of a ziana who takes care of her dress, hair and make-up. The bride and groom are then escorted to the party venue were men and women party separately till the early morning.

Initials La photographer Mous Lamrabat captured the beautiful brides and their ziana in a style piece featured in the latest issue of De Standaard Magazine.

and the photographer himself ;)
