Japanese retail giant Uniqlo has landed on Belgian soil. They continue to expand their worldwide presence with a brand new store in Antwerp, opening October 2. Not a difficult choice, the retailer explains, with Antwerp having such an important role in fashion. Uniqlo is famous for offering well-made basics in all sorts of colors, and for classy collaborations with fashion labels like Jil Sander and more recently french fashion label Lemaire.

In order to create some buzz around the approaching opening, the brand wanted to portray real Antwerp locals in their favorite Uniqlo garments. We organized a four day shoot starring famous and less famous people with roots in Antwerp: Bent Van Looy, Helena Eeckeleers, Felix Denayer, Joke De Coninck, Mark Colle and Francine Martens. And last but not least: with photographer Frederik Vercruysse!

Keep your eyes open, because these will be hanging everywhere pretty soon!
