For his A/W 2015 collection, fashion design graduate Raphael Abel was inspired by 'Walden’,a book written by H.D.Thoreau. Walden is a story about simplicity, independence, altruism and truth. It is a resistance against mass consumption and propagates the ideal of slow movement. The atmosphere of the story is visualized in a contemporary collection. In cooperation with Initials LA photographer Klaartje Lambrechts, the vision of Raphael Abel’s work is translated in a poetic and ‘zeitgeist’ picture.

Raphael Abel is a fashion and communication design graduate from Düsseldorf, Germany. He has already gained working experience at different designers, amongst others at A.F. Vandevorst in Antwerp and Tim Coppens in New York.
